First Day of Summer at the Water Park

This summer we decided to get summer passes for Blake and I to the Comanche Nation Water Park here in Lawton.  We still have the pool, but the waterpark was running a special for 30.00 a piece instead of the regular 59.99! So we decided to pick one up for Blake and I.  Our first time this summer we went on Memorial Day....looks like a summer full of splashes and FUN!

We had a really good time and Ben can now touch everyone in the kiddie area, which is a plus because I have my hands full with Blair....

It was a great way to start the SUMMER!

Red Earth Day Parade

Today was the Red Earth Day Parade.  Ben and his language class from daycare where in the parade representing Numunu Turetu.  After getting Ben loaded on the trailer, we found a spot in the parade line up in downtown OKC to sit back and watch.  My mom even took off the day to come and see her Ben...

Blair and her "Titi" waiting for the parade to start...
Blake posted up waiting for it to begin....

Blair found herself a rock to stand on....she started counting them, "one, two, free, four rocks!"
Ben and the boys waiting to get set up for the parade...
 My kiddos acting GOOFY!
The kids patiently waiting on the parade to start...

It was a nice day to get out enjoy the parade...I know there was some last minute drama with the Comanche CBC, so the float wasn't as prepared as we wanted, but all in all, the kids had a great time!

Once again, it is important for us to remind us to remember those who sacrifice their lives for us everyday for us to enjoy our freedom...the parade was a great reminder of the many different branches and individuals who fight for our freedom!

Arts for All Festival

Once again we went to the Arts for All festival here in Lawton.  We went to church first on Sunday and decided to have lunch afterwards at the festival.  After lunch, we decided to have some ART time...Ben and Blair enjoyed the canvas painting...

Blake made a stencil fish...it turned out really cool....
Ben getting his face painted...he got an ice cream cone...Blair being her normal shy self didn't get her face painted...
Ben and Blair making their paper butterflies...
Blake painting on the canvas...is his name big enough????

We really enjoyed the Arts for All this year....good food, great art and fun family time...can't wait until next year!!!!

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day I was surprised with flowers as well as the beginning of the my Pandora Bracelet....
I got the bracelet I wanted as well as my first charm, a letter "B" representing my kiddos....good job J ;)
We went to church at First United Methodist Sunday in honor of Mothers Day as well as my nephew, Xavier's baptism.  This is us before the service began.
Blake got me a rose at the Children's Service...he knows I love pink....

My family allowed me to have a great Mothers Day.  J got up and made me breakfast, went to church, went to one of my favorite restaurants afterwards.  The afternoon consisted of movies and reading my book.  Blake even cleaned his own bathroom so I wouldn't have to.   I have the best family and I am so grateful for them all.  I love my bracelet, my flowers and the day they spent with me.  Love you all!

Plus, shout to my mom since we didn't get to see her on Mom's day...she is the best mom ever and we are lucky to have her....

As well as to my sister Kathy; this is her first Mother's Day officially as a Mom....get ready Kathy!

Easter 2011

This year's Easter was rather rainy.  But we enjoyed it just the same.  We ventured to a new church (we are currently looking for a church home) and went to Centenary Methodist Church http://www.lawtoncentenary.com/ here in Lawton.  We REALLY enjoyed and plan on going back as soon as we are done with my nephews baptisms the next two Sundays.

Rattlesnake Festival

This past weekend we journeyed out to what appears to be the last Apache Rattlesnake Festival.  This is our third year going, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
The kids checking out the snakes in the snake pit...

This is when Blake went to touch the snake and moved towards him...scared the crap out of him!!!

My beautiful daughter picking her nose....
Ben and Blair on the rides...

Ben and Blair riding the ponies...and with the recent obsession with Toy Story, Ben was calling himself Goody and saying "Yeehaw" while Blair referred to herself as Jesse and her pony as Bullseye and said, "yodalayhehoo"

All in all, we had a good time at the festival. Sorry to see it go....

Charlie's Debut

RACE NIGHT IN LAWTON, OKLAHOMA!
Thank goodness for Jackie and having some ear covers for the kids!
Blake only wore them for this picture....
GO CHARLIE! NUMBER 41 OUT OF YUKON, OKLAHOMA!

Tonight the boys and I went to the Lawton Speedway to root on a friend of ours, more like family member, as he debuted his new and improved race car.  This was Ben's first time going, and he was, um, a little overwhelmed at first but really enjoyed himself.  Of course, Blake has been many times, so he knew the ropes.  I grew up at the race track with my mom and the Pybas Family, so it was definately like old times getting back together and hanging out and actually rooting for one of our own.  Ben and Blake plan on going again as soon as Charlie races in Lawton again...
